Playschool Child Care

Children live, learn, play, and grow at Playschool Child Care, Inc. of Maplewood, Minnesota. Playschool provides well-designed childcare programs and facilities at a reasonable price. Supporting North St. Paul, Maplewood and surrounding areas (School District 622) for 20+ years, Playschool is a fully licensed child care facility for children age six weeks to 5 years. Playschool offers an Explorer Club for school-age children (5-12) for licensed before- and after-school care. The Explorer Club expands to include young people through age 14 during summer months when the program operates as a recreational program (not a licensed curriculum).

Playschool staff and teachers interrelate with the children from the minute they are dropped off in the morning, until their parent returns at day’s end. State Licensed Facility and Staff

Playschool Child Care, Inc. is licensed by the State of Minnesota as a qualified child care facility (License # 801948-4). Playschool staff members undergo full background checks. Teachers hold degrees in child development and education; assistant teachers hold or are in process with the similar degrees. All members of the Playschool staff participate in regular in-service training, continuing education, and they meet all certification requirements from the state. All Playschool Staff Members are certified in CPR, First Aid. Infant teachers are also certified in SIDS, and SBS. Teacher-to-child ratios vary between the age groups; all are at or below the recommended levels ensuring quality individual care for every child.

Programs

Playschool offers both full-time (over four hours) and part-time (four or less hours) programs, along with programs for before and after school. The summer recreation Explorer Club program has varied options. The facility is open from 6:00 a.m. until 6:15 p.m., Monday through Friday.
